The winter can be so harsh at times and your skin can be ashy if you don't take care of it the right way. Growing up, mama always knew best and she had a secret weapon for the skin during winter, Vaseline. All the fancy lotions that we had been using had to be put aside and Vaseline took their places. 

Mama knew that lotion would disappear as soon as the harsh conditions outside did their magic, so petroleum jelly was the only way the kids and adults could keep their lather shining.

Now we know that winter brings changes in humidity and temperature that create perfect conditions for causing dry skin. We know that the extended long hot shower or bath, as well as the cold outdoor weather, harsh winds, and sun all, also contribute towards stripping the skin of its natural, moisturizing oils. #IfYouDidn’tKnowNowYouKnow

You Got To Drink Water And Eat Right

Foods or supplements that contain omega-3 or omega-6 fatty acids, such as fish oil and flaxseed oil will go a long way in helping your skin from the inside. You also can’t slack on drinking water… Yes, I’m talking to you ma’am I know the toilet seat is cold and you don’t wanna take off your spandex but… it is what it is!
