Some people say I sound like a mature person. I don’t know, but I never have an idea of what I’m doing, like all the time. I can’t even tell time from an analog wristwatch. The numbers give me a headache. If I can’t see the exact time, that’s it for me.

It's never easy to know the right thing to do always, but here are some life lessons you may need to take note of.

Slow down

No one is holding a stopwatch for you, and neither should you hold one for yourself. Sometimes, it’s good to slow down. Slowing down doesn’t mean you do less. It means you pay attention more and catch what the world is throwing at you.

Hold the things that move you. You need less shame around the idea that you are not doing your best. The ability to accept and adapt gracefully to life’s twists and turns is one of the greatest skills in life

Don’t be so hard on yourself

You are human. Love is a beautiful thing, but it’s not the band-aid for all physical and emotional ailments. Also, don’t lose yourself in it. Give to yourself as much as you give of yourself.

Let people be

You can’t rely on others to carry you where you want to go. Some don’t have the strength to do so. Others just don’t want to. And why would you want to be carried when you can just walk or get in a taxi?

You live you learn. You love you learn. You cry you learn. You lose you learn. People seem to listen to tall people. It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.

Be Yourself

People are always consistent at being themselves. Where you are high, you are bound to crash. People never disappoint you. What disappoints you are your expectations of them. Adjust them and nobody will ever disappoint you.

Sometimes life doesn’t give you what you ask for, instead, you work with what you have.
